The chairman of KLE Dr. Prabhakar Kore took initiation under the leadership of former prinicipal Dr. B. M Patil. First took the permission form BPPI. Inaugurated on 01.03.2018 by Dr. Maneka Gandhi, Minister of Women and Child Development. Now the PMBJK is running successfully under the guidance of present principal Dr. Sunil S Jalalpure.
Training at Jan-Aushadhi
The students of Pharm.D Sixth Year (Internship) are posted in Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Posting will be done on the basis of Month wise. The students are trained in various aspects. Related to Prescription, Handling, Reading, Dispensing are told. Along with this the difference between Generic Drugs Vs Brand drugs were explained. Meanwhile dispensing of various prescriptions was assessed for possible Drug related problems. If any Drug related problems were noticed reverted back to prescriber for the correction. Students were trained with various Inventory Control methods like ABC Analysis, VED Analysis, EOQ & Lead Stock Method along with its importance in day to day business. Students are trained for making entry of Inventory, Billing procedures, Expiry registers with the help of Computer & available softwares.
After dispensing the patients were counselled for various diseases on the basis of their diagnosed disease with the help of various pharmaceutical aids like Pamphlet, Pictogram, Dummy inhalers etc.
Periodical awareness programmes were conducted to create awareness on communicable & non communicable diseases like Awareness on Dyslipidaemia, Awareness on Diabetes by using various educational tools. Also community were assessed for chronic diseases with the help of Helath Screening Services.
